Services and Benefits
Pilates is a method of physical conditioning consisting of over 500 exercises utilizing a mat, small props, or equipment Joseph Pilates invented. Many of the original exercises are beneficial to every one; however working with a certified instructor ensures the exercises address your needs and goals appropriately. The main focus of Pilates is to develop and balance the muscles of the abdomen and back that support our torso in order to create greater ease and vigor in all activities. Additionally, many Pilates exercises go beyond the torso to address balance, strength, and flexibility of major arm and leg joints. The principles of the Pilates Method include: Awareness, Balance, Breath, Concentration, Center, Control, Efficiency, Flow, Precision, and Harmony. If you desire improvement in any of the above mentioned principles, you can benefit from Pilates. Pilates is effective and adaptable for all healthy individuals regardless of fitness level, age, gender, or race.
